signalsfromsaturn is the best and she updated my theme song from badlandgirls for my birthday!
Hi-ya! Today is my good friend maukingbird's birthday! SO HEY I THOUGHT I'D REVISE A SONG I WROTE FOR HER WHEN SHE WAS ON OUR PODCAT TWO YEARS AGO. (Listen here.) It’s now more birthday appropriate! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACIE!
Big week kicking off tomorrow night! The 2nd Annual Omaha Improv Festival is here and it looks to be bigger and better than last year’s already huge and fantastic week of improvisational comedy. We have a ton of great teams both local and visiting, as well as some major coaches dropping by to teach workshops and perform special shows.
I have the great fortune/death sentence of performing each night of the festival and it would be wonderful to see old friend and new faces and old friends WITH new faces during this phenomenal week of comedy. Because of how prolific/overabundant I’ll be and just how many great local/visiting teams there are, spread among 3 different locations, I thought it might be nice to put together a little key on where to find Tracie this week. I have underlined in bold the teams I will performing with this week (subject to change):
I drew Boomer from BSG for @lindseytheis’s birthday a while back. Still trying to get comfortable with the grayscale markers.
I drew this creepy Gambit for @zombieanna’s birthday. I don’t know why he’s creepy except that I guess he’s just Gambit. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNA!
Harry Potter x Mystery Science Theater 3000 art I did for @SenatorSquirrel’s 30th birthday meaning this is two years old and I only just realized I never posted it anywhere. I unfortunately didn’t make a scan of the hand-colored version she got.
Poster I designed for the upcoming 50th Annual Florence Days Melodrama in which I will be playing the role of Sadie, the villainess. (not pictured)
It’s a might late but I drew this Nightwing for my pal @robbblum’s birthday.
There are some anatomical elements here that I’d say are fairly obviously influenced by some things I’ve been reading lately.
I’m wildly excited to be putting this together! I truly hope that it’s a smash hit and becomes a tradition at my library (and maybe my county).
I’m very delighted to be a part of this.
From the Weisenheimers show at Barrel of Laughs in Lincoln, NE (3/22/14), Monty and I play “A to Z” starting with “L” and moving through the alphabet and our weird break-up.
